Hicks Women's Life Group

My name is Joy Hicks and I am a semi-retired senior. I donate my time to Ridgewear a clothing ministry of North Ridge.
My hobbies are reading and walking my dog. I am also a 16 year survivor of breast cancer and the founder of Motorcycles for Mammograms. I am passionate about serving my Church and my community.

We have been together for quite some time and are like an extended family.  We use RightNow Media for our Bible Studies.  We completed studies on James and Esther recently. 

Our outreach is Our Daily Bread.  We cook and serve the 3rd and 5thThursday of each month.   Kanita calls us the crazies.  We love serving there and look forward to it each month. 
Another outreach we serve is Ridgewear. Ridgewear is a ministry inside of North Ridge. We accept donations and go through the donations to provide clothing, toys and housewares to needy families in our community. 

 At each meeting we eat and then discuss our Bible Study.  We are paired up in two’s for cooking so it isn’t so expensive for one person.  This has worked really well for us and the food is always good.
